Greetings friends, Professor Bloggington here. Assuming there's at least SOMEONE who reads this inconsistant dreck of mine, the following is my short form report on The Tequila Mockingbirds and Bourbon Renewal VS the "Invasion of the Touristas, 2008."

Actually, neither Peter nor myself could begin to imagine doing anything else for a living. Being a busy musician is a joyride.

Peter and I worked our tailfeathers off as The Tequila Mockingbirds ended up performing 5 to 7 nights per week in the Capital Region, and Bourbon Renewal - sans ol' Ukulele Jr. - did a run of 6 Tuesdays at the Saratoga City Tavern during the track season. The band featured drummer Michael LoMaestro, bassist Bacco and keyboardist David Payette. The experience was so pleasant for the four of us, we are going to book a few more gigs for shits and giggles at City Tavern. David in particular really made the gig shake for me, man. First, he's a perfect fit for us with his low volume/elephant ears approach to playing our style of blues. Second, he reads minds. It's true. The guy's haunted, I swear, and he just "knows" what to do and when to do it. Spooooky.

So now the season is over and we're getting antsy not working every night and are booking the rest of the year as fast as we can.

The CD, "Birds of a Feather" has been very warmly received and is now in its third pressing.

Heartfelt thanks to each and every person who has so kindly befriended us. Whether you book us or just come to hang around with us, we love playing for you!

Signed,

Professor Bloggington

You make me swoooooon, good professor. I wish you'd write more, because I gain such insight into your life (truly, no joke). And, I find your tales, tall or otherwise, quite entertaining. So I'm lighting a virtual-lighter and requesting more. Please deliver.
